The SDAITC Board awarded 10 Garden Grants in March to Elementary and Middle Schools in Carlsbad, Oceanside, Poway, La Jolla, Lakeside, Santee and San Diego. Schools received between $500 and $1200. SDAITC awarded $10,000 in February to eleven schools to enhance their garden and nutrition programs. School finalists received visits from the grant committee in December.
